THE SCARING WINDS; Left with his business

Some vendors lost their property to wind

2/11/2016, 6:59pm, I was sitting at one of the shops in Nateete as a heavy wind stormed the area. Immediately power went into hiding.

It was by surprise, I hope you remember the recent earthquake that caught us unaware. It was the same story with this wind.

People started running as if there was some one eyed giant coming after them. Irrespective of age and colour. And being fat is something very bad.

Some people are funny, in one of the schools in Kampala the security guard started ordering students out of school  telling them to go and die from their homes. May be he got confused.

"Is it the end of the world? " some chocolate skinned and big bummed lady asked me. I just told her to be calm and strong since she was near the crusher.

There was this street vendor nicknamed as Swahaba because of his religion (Islam). Swahaba is somehow tall and ever happy guy. He owns a stall along the street dealing in ladies' merchandise and children's balls plus some playing stuff.

Am sure most of the things that ladies use on their faces and hair are less than 500gm in terms of weight.  So it was very easy for the wind to take off with them.

Swahaba tried to run after some but all in vain. That's how things move in this world, now Swahaba is nursing the pain of loosing his business.
